PASSIVE HOUSES

WHY A PASSIVE HOUSE?

In the studio we have focused over the last few years on passive houses because we consider that they are the maximum expression of the home from a technological point of view. It provides greater integration into the environment, which we see as essential. And it becomes a bet on the future with the intention of a longer durability the project.

Arranged all on the ground floor, in which a large landsca- ped courtyard with a central pool is the point of union of all the rooms of the house. And a series of courtyards with centuries-old olive trees provide natural lighting to the different spaces. A space “in which to feel comfortable at all times” through the control of temperature, humidi- ty, and sound insulation, but also in communion with the environment and nature.

The result is a house full of hidden technology that offers maximum comfort to its residents, but it is not visible. A passive, bioclimatic house, with high energy efficiency and with air renewal systems, home automation, solar collection, heat pump, etc.. Highest easement standings in tune with a privileged location.

A half moon terrain on the coast of the lagoon

allows to organize the internal and uses comfor- tably. Two very different views of the water, and inside functions very autonomous from the public ones, merge into a single house, a single garden and a single coast.

The house was designed with the highest technology in Argentina in terms of energy efficiency and automation. The air conditioning system is based on a geothermal heat pump (which collects energy from the surrounding water); and a large part of the energy consumption is given by a photovolaic solar field on its flat upper cover, which allows it great autonomy during the day when it is most energetic.
